What I like in Sports Designing

Good day guys. I am back after another layoff. Today, I will tell you my thoughts and what I like to do in designing some sports paraphernalia. I think you will not shock to see this because I'm not just a sports fan, but I am also a Grade 12 Information And Communications Technology student. Without further ado, let's do this.

To be completely honest, a casual and even a die-hard sports fan doesn't care about the logo and uniforms of his or her team unless the team is winning, and that is the most important thing as a sports team. I can end my blog here, right? No, No, No, No (in Dikembe Mutombo's voice). As an ICT student, I am starting to have care and attention to the logo and the uniforms of the teams that I watch. Like my Cleveland Browns who brought back the uniform design that the fans love and I love it (because the former uniforms, like the team, sucks), and the most important part, they won a playoff game for the first time since 1994. Also, I love some teams that are bold and in-your-face in terms of their branding, like my Vegas Golden Knights, who in the past offseason, released a gold jersey that is super glittering and I really love that (I ain't biased okay?) because, just like some people say, that is the most Vegas thing that we could think, bold and full of gold (because of casinos, I guess) and we need teams that are bold like that (shoutout Dallas Stars for the black and neon alt) or in the whole league like in NBA. All of the 30 teams are releasing "City" uniforms that are showcasing a uniform design that is all about their home city or state (or in the Lakers case, a player) and I love that uniform program, especially this year. I also want some classic designs but, we need to see a new design. I want a classic design, but with a twist, just like what the NHL and Adidas did in the Reverse Retro line (unpopular opinion: I don't like the Islanders to bring back the "Fisherman". Search it and you will know.) I also want teams that have some local flavor in their logos and uniforms, just like what I have mentioned, the NBA "City" line and Arizona Coyotes.

Also, I want to have some opinions on what the sports uniform community doesn't really like. To be honest, I've learned in my life to judge in context and before you judge a think, you need facts so you could have a better opinion or judgment (I was a bullying victim before I became a respectful person). And some of their judgment sucks (sorry for the word). Like some of these people really want to bring back a uniform from the time our grandfathers are still young. I'm not against heritage, in fact, I don't like the Celtics (NBA) to have a color other than green, gold, black, and white, but, just what I have said earlier, we need new designs or a classic design, but with a twist, just like the Buffalo Sabres (their new logos and uniforms: A+, their team: lower than F-). Some of these people don't like bold designs either. You know, I can't really understand them.

So, what could be my preferable design if I was given a chance to design for a sports team? My design could be a classic, but with a bold approach. I want my client team to look good. And also, in my dream job of graphic designing, you need to follow what your client wants, so your want will be, I guess a small percentage, but I love my future in this profession.

Another long blog. I know you will don't care about this one because you are not too critical with designing, but I wish you will love this one. I've put a great effort into this blog. I wish you will appreciate this. God bless you and your family. Peace. Love. See you again. Goodbye.
