My Favorite Bands Part 5: Fall Out Boy

Hello. The last time I wrote about my favorite band was weeks ago when I wrote about Green Day. Today, I will write about Fall Out Boy.

Composed of Patrick Stump (his real surname is Stumph) in vocals, Pete Wentz in the bass guitar, Joe Trohnman in lead guitar, and Andy Hurley in drums, this band was formed in 2001 in Wilmette, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. They have released 7 albums named: "Take This To Your Grave" (2003), "From Under The Cork Tree" (2005), "Infinity on High" (2007), "Folie á Deux" (French for "A Madness Shared by Two") (2008), "Save Rock And Roll" (2013) (my fave), "American Beauty/American Psycho" (2015), and "Mania" (2018). (I think my avid fans know where did I get this).

I started listening Fall Out Boy when I was a kid when my mom was listening to them (literally, and I mean literally my mom influenced my favorite songs and singers). But it became larger when I hear some song in their 2013 album called "Save Rock And Roll" like "My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light 'em up)", "Alone Together", and "Just One Yesterday" (my favorite song of F.O.B). And it continues until now when I've listen to some of their songs like "Centuries", "Save Rock And Rock", "Irresistible", "Thnks Fr Th Mmrs" (pronounced as "Thanks for The Memories"), "Sugar, We're Goin' Down", "This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race", and "The Night Begins To Shine".

I like the rhythm of their songs and also the voice of Patrick Stump. His range is amazing and it compliments how Pete, Joe, and Andy plays their instruments.

My 5 (or more) Favorite Fall Out Boy Songs (in no particular order {except 1}:

1. "Just One Yesterday": My most favorite F.O.B song. I love the lyrics, the tone, the music video, and how the vocals of Patrick Stump and Foxes complements from each other.

2. "Thnks Fr Th Mmrs": I love the lyrics and the rhythm of this song and if it is my last day at work if I am super old, I will play this and I will say to my workmates that Thanks for The Memories.

3. "The Night Begins To Shine": If you are a Teen Titans fan, then you know this song because this is the themesong in that show. This is originally sang by a band called R.E.M and also covered by Cee Lo Green, but they made that song their own. Their rendition is amazing.

4. "Centuries": I love the song and as a sports fan I am always pump up when I hear this (but why the hell ESPN overuse this incredible song?!). And if anybody will retire my number, i wish this would be my entrace song.

5-7:

My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light 'em up)": I also love the song and also just like number 4, I am pumped up when I listen to this song.

"Irresistible": I love the song and its tune. I also love the duet of Patrick Stump and Demi Lovato in this song.

"Sugar, We're Goin' Down": I like the song because I somewhat heard this before. And I also love when they performed it with Hayley Williams of Paramore. It was amazing.

So, I love the song that F.O.B has done and I love how they perform their songs live, with energy.

Next: Linkin Park
