My Favorite Bands Part 2: Coldplay
Good day everyone. Previously, I talked about Paramore and how I became in love with them. Now I will talk about a childhood band that is favorite of my mom and became my favorite too. It's Coldplay.
Composed of Chris Martin, Johnny Buckland, Guy Berryman, and Will Champion, they are formed in 1996 in University College London, where they study. They have released 8 albums named Parachutes (2000), A Rush of Blood to the Head (2002), X&Y (2005), Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends (2008), Mylo Xyloto (2011), Ghost Stories, A Head Full of Dreams (2014), and Everyday Life (2019). (Again, I saw this on Wiki).
It all started when my mother always sang to me Yellow, one of their first hit. My mom always sing that song especially when it is played in radio. That's why I know Coldplay ever before YouTube have eaten my life. Their songs are always on our cellphones.
Why Coldplay? Well, because their songs are pleasant to the ears.I love the vocal quality of Chris Martin, their vocalist. I love their sound and also I love how they perform it on their concerts. It like an out of this world experience that you can imagine everything and it is super duper great. And all of their songs makes you feel every feeling in the world (happiness, joy, sadness, contentment, etc.).
My 5 (or more) Favorite Coldpay Songs (in no particular order)
1. Speed of Sound: I only hear this song during quarantine but it also became one of my favorite song. Its melody is amazing. It can take you to another world or galaxy or another Solar System when you hear that song. (fact: this is top 10 hit in United States when it debuted 8th in 2005 Billboard Hot 100, before it was surpassed by Viva La Vida in 2008 when it reach number 1).
2. Shiver: one of their older song. Released at 2000. This song is good. This could be my song about my crush because I feel like I am in love when I listen to this song and remembering my crush (ayieeee).
3. Adventure of A Lifetime: This song is beautiful and energetic. It's music video is amazing. (fact: they shot it on a studio that is also the studio where "Planet of the Apes", "Avengers: Age of Ultron", and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" were filmed ) and when I hear it, I imagine the hardships that I've faced and how I won that battles.
4. Hymn for the Weekend: also beautiful. It gives me good vibes and celebration mode and it's video shows how beautiful India is.
5 - 8:
A Sky Full of Stars: another "celebration" song. It's lyrics are amazing. The whole song are beautiful. I wish I could see my "Sky Full of Stars" (my one true love). And also I want to mention, Avicii was one of the producers of this song. (Rest In Paradise, Avicii. 🙏🙏🙏)
Yellow: This song has a special place in my heart because it is always sang by my mom to me when I was young. And I will never ever forget it.
Fix You: When I listen to this song, I feel that I could face my problems even it is hard because there is a family that will support me. (Lights will guide you home, And ignite you're bones. And I will try to fix you)
Mircacles (Someone Special): It is different to other Coldplay songs because it has rap, but it's rap is amazing. It is uplifting (thanks Big Sean). And just like they said in the last lyrics of this song, Don't go to war you're self.
That's all. I like Coldplay since I was young and it will last forever. And I will also pass it to my children and grandchildren just like my mom.
Your Friend,
Ramueeeeel
